RTP is an average, not a guarantee
RTP 95% means that over a million spins, the slot will return about 95% of what was wagered. But this is an average: over a hundred spins, you can be either in profit or deep in the red — both are perfectly normal.
The spread around the average is variance (volatility). High variance means rare but large wins; low variance means frequent but small wins.
How variance affects your balance
In our engine, the variance is measured: for the classic theme it is medium (around 4.2), hit frequency ~27%, and big wins come rarely. This means long dry streaks alternate with bursts — it's a property of the math, not a "bad luck streak."
Understanding this removes the illusion of "it's bound to hit now": each spin is independent, and past results do not affect future outcomes.
Why keep a credit reserve?
The higher the variance and the larger the bet relative to the balance, the higher the chance of "not surviving" until a big win. A sufficient credit reserve (bankroll) smooths out drawdowns and provides the distance over which the stated RTP manifests itself.
In demo mode, this is a safe training session: credits are virtual, no real money is involved. It’s a convenient way to feel how bet size and variance change the “character” of a session. 18+.
